Rani Birchfield is a writer and freelancer
with congenital wanderlust who just passed her
three year mark of living in the Big Bend
region. She came to the high desert for a three
month trial period and continues to linger,
discovering new places, doing unusual things,

Leah Cohen, originally from Dallas, Texas,
lived in Austin for 25 years before moving to
Marathon in '08. She has been taking photos

raised on the Klamath Indian Reservation in
SE Oregon. He has lived and worked with the
White Mountain Apache as well as the San
Carlos and Mescalero Apache. He is presently

Jim Glendinning, an Oxford-educated Scot,

Judy Eron, built and occupied a self-sufficient
