A senior at Sul Ross, where he has been the editor of the campus newspaper and the lit- erary magazine, Trey is majoring in English with hopes of becoming an editor. Beth Francell has been a landscape designer for 20 years. He often uses pen and ink in a way that looks like wood- cut. Mark lives in a bus in the desert outside Terlingua and has a studio in the Terlingua Ghost Town. Patty Manning, owing to her background in art and botany, had the good fortune to be asked to help various researchers at Sul Ross State University by providing particular scientific illustrations. He studies and writes about area history and lives with his wife Edith in Fort Davis. Blair Pittman, a photojournalist since 1978, has traveled the world with his camera. He lives in Terlingua where he writes stories about its people and history. His current book is Tales from the Terlingua Porch II.
