She reads and performs her poetry throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and New Mexico. He retired to Fort Davis in 2012, and his stories frequented the pages of the Cenizo. He will be missed. Nyeema Haigler is a 20-year-old Bronx native studying at Claflin University in North Carolina. She lived in Austin for many years where she designed and built homes. After leaving Austin she lived in Ruidosa, eventually returning to Alpine where she found the Hotel Ritchey waiting for her to restore it to its past glory. e-mail: hotelritchey@gmail.com Trisha Runyan is fourth generation Mexican American, now living in Presidio in the home her great-grandfather built 101 years ago. She writes prose and poetry under viga ceilings and with a perpetual cup of coffee.
